A Toast to an Erudite Scholar and Visionary Builder: Happy Birthday to Professor Olaniyi Jacob Babayemi

Professor O J Babayemi
VC FUNATO

There are men who walk through history simply following the paths laid out by others, and there are men who are born to clear the forest, lay the foundation, and build monuments for generations to come. Professor Olaniyi Jacob Babayemi, the Pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Okeho, undeniably belongs to the latter.

Today, we pause to celebrate not just the addition of another year to your glorious life, but the immense impact, unparalleled wisdom, and profound humility that define your existence.

An Architect of Academic Excellence

To be appointed as a Vice-Chancellor is a testament to academic brilliance; but to be chosen as a Pioneer Vice-Chancellor is the ultimate proof of visionary leadership, administrative ingenuity, and absolute trust in your capacity to build from the ground up. At the Federal University of Agriculture, Okeho, you did not just occupy an office—you planted a seed of academic excellence, watered it with your sweat and intellect, and nurtured it into an institution that now stands as a beacon of agricultural innovation and learning.

You are an intellectual colossus who has successfully bridged the gap between town and gown, using your wealth of knowledge to advance both the academic community and the grassroots.

A Pillar of Egbe Ajosepo Fun Itesiwaju Gbogbo Wa

Beyond the four walls of the university, your impact resonates deeply within our beloved association, Egbe Ajosepo Fun Itesiwaju Gbogbo Wa. Despite your towering achievements and packed schedule, you have remained an outstanding and deeply committed executive member.

You bring the same professorial excellence, strategic thinking, and meticulous attention to detail to the growth of our association. You have taught us that true greatness is not measured by titles, but by one's willingness to serve their people with humility and dedication. Your counsel is always golden, your presence is a stabilizing force, and your passion for our collective progress is deeply contagious.

A Message of Felicitation

On this special day, the Chairman of our great association, Engr. Olaifa Dauda Alade, together with the entire Executive Council, the esteemed Board of Elders, and all faithful members of Egbe Ajosepo Fun Itesiwaju Gbogbo Wa, heartily rejoice with you.

We celebrate your life of service. We honor your sacrifices. We applaud your unblemished integrity.

Our Prayers for You

As you celebrate this new milestone, our collective prayer is that the Almighty God will continue to renew your strength like that of the eagle. May your well of wisdom never run dry, and may your days be long, peaceful, and filled with the fruits of your labor. May you live to see the seeds you have planted in Okeho, in our association, and in the lives of countless individuals bloom into unimaginable greatness.

Happy Birthday, Prof! You are a rare gem, a pride to your generation, and an evergreen blessing to us all.

Signed:

Engr. Olaifa Dauda Alade (Chairman) For the Executives, Elders, and Members of Egbe Ajosepo Fun Itesiwaju Gbogbo Wa
