IBADAN, OYO STATE — The reconciliation efforts within the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have received a massive boost as political heavyweights consolidate their structures ahead of the 2027 general elections. In a definitive move for party unity, former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan, alongside other prominent party figures, has officially aligned with the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli.

The strategic reconciliation meeting, which signals a formidable front for the opposition party in the state, was held at the residence of the former First Lady of Oyo State, Chief (Mrs.) Kemi Alao-Akala.
