ABUJA — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has boldly declared that the ongoing comprehensive restructuring of Nigeria's security operations will inevitably deliver a crushing victory over terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping across the country.
The President made this unwavering commitment on Tuesday at the State House while receiving the leadership of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), led by its President, Most Rev. Matthew Ndagoso.
Speaking to the revered religious leaders, Tinubu outlined his administration's strategic shift from mere reactionary measures to advanced intelligence gathering and the repositioning of security institutions.
“I have just approved the expansion of the armed forces. We are getting more equipment, building new barracks. We will defeat terrorism. It should be part of your sermons. I won't deviate from our national anthem,” the President declared.
While emphasizing the administration’s prioritization of frontline personnel welfare, Tinubu urged the Catholic Bishops and all religious leaders to actively condemn violent attacks and guide their congregations toward national unity.
"We don't have another country but here—this Nigeria," Tinubu noted, reinforcing the unvarnished reality that the nation's security challenges require both tactical military might and unified spiritual and societal support
