CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE: Ambassador David Ademola Adejuwon Congratulates Engr. Remi Olaniyan on His Appointment as APC 2027 Presidential Election Zonal Coordinator, South-West Agro-Allied Sector Mobilization

On behalf of the members of the Advocacy for Oke Ogun Zone Advancement (AFOZA) and good people of Oke Ogun, I heartily congratulate His Excellency, Engr. Abdulrauf Aderemi Olaniyan on his well-deserved appointment as the APC 2027 Presidential Election Zonal Coordinator for South-West Agro-Allied Sector Mobilization.

This appointment is a recognition of your leadership capacity, competence, commitment and the strategic importance of the agro-allied sector in Nigeria’s economic development and electoral mobilization. I am confident that your experience, commitment, organizational abilities and capabilities will contribute significantly to mobilizing stakeholders across agriculture, agribusiness, agro-processing, and related industries throughout the South-West.

As Nigeria continues to pursue food security, agricultural modernization, job creation, rural development, and increased investment in the agricultural value chain, your assignment provides an opportunity to engage farmers, agricultural entrepreneurs, cooperatives, agro-industrial investors, and other stakeholders in constructive dialogue on policies and programmes that can advance their interests and improve livelihoods.

For the people of Oke Ogun and the wider South-West region, agriculture remains a critical driver of economic prosperity, employment, and sustainable community development. We therefore look forward to purposeful engagement that will give due attention to the challenges and opportunities within the agricultural sector, particularly the need for improved infrastructure, access to finance, modern technology, agro-processing facilities, and reliable markets for farmers and agricultural producers.

I pray that Almighty Allah will endow you with the courage, wisdom, strength, and good health required to successfully discharge the assigned responsibilities. May this assignment promote effective stakeholder participation, productive partnerships, and meaningful contributions to agricultural development and the democratic process in the South-West Zone of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Congratulations once again on this well-deserved appointment. We wish you resounding success.

Amb.David Adejuwon

IBADAN, OYO STATE — The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has formally entered another crucial phase of the 2027 electoral process with the publication and display of the names, credentials and other particulars of candidates contesting the governorship and State House of Assembly elections. The exercise, carried out on Saturday, August 29, 2026, included the display of candidates’ particulars on Form EC9, giving political parties, candidates, journalists and members of the public an opportunity to scrutinise the information submitted to the electoral commission. For Oyo State, the development is particularly significant. Reports based on the latest INEC display indicate that 16 candidates are in the 2027 governorship race, representing different political parties. But there is an important lesson for voters: a name announced by a political party is not automatically the same thing as the name finally displayed by INEC. That distinction has become critical in...

By

At the jamb Headquarters,  This morning In the corridors of power, public perception is often a carefully crafted illusion. To the outside world, a public institution can be painted as a shining beacon of reform, financial accountability, and administrative brilliance. But to the civil servants who turn the administrative wheels—those who endure the daily realities behind closed doors—the story can be vastly, painfully different. As a new leadership officially resumed duty at the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) headquarters today, a striking visual spectacle unfolded, captured in numerous video and audio recordings. Staff members across various offices abandoned official norms and clad themselves in stark white attire—a traditional African symbol of victory, liberation, and joy following the end of an era. To the casual observer, it was a routine celebration. But to the affected staff and aggrieved former employees, it was an emotional outburst f...
