COMMUNITY IMPACT: APM’s Hon. Abiodun Oni Delivers Life-Saving Borehole to Ifelodun Omo Igboho at City Hall

In a powerful demonstration of practical leadership and unwavering commitment to grassroots development, the candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) for the Old Irepo/Oorelope/Olorunsogo Federal Constituency, Hon. Abiodun Oni, has once again proven that true political service is measured by direct impact, not empty rhetoric.

Apm House of Representatives candidate

The community of Ifelodun Omo Igboho erupted in jubilation earlier today following the successful completion and commissioning of a brand-new, high-capacity borehole facility constructed right at the heart of the Igboho City Hall.

A Lifeline for the People and Local Vendors

For years, access to clean, reliable water around the busy municipal hub of the Igboho City Hall has been a pressing challenge for residents, visitors, and small-scale business operators. With the intervention of Hon. Abiodun Oni, that narrative has officially changed.

The newly inaugurated borehole is set to serve a wide cross-section of the populace, providing uninterrupted, clean water to everyday citizens, local market vendors operating near the facility, and commuters alike.

Community Leaders Shower Praises

Reacting to the development, leaders of the Ifelodun Omo Igboho—both home and abroad—expressed profound gratitude to the APM candidate. They lauded his exceptional consistency, loyalty, and deep-seated love for community advancement, noting that unlike politicians who only show up during election cycles, Hon. Oni has continually demonstrated a genuine blueprint for human-centric development.

Recall that this project forms a core part of Hon. Abiodun Oni's broader regional infrastructure vision, which earlier saw the approval and rollout of multiple strategic borehole projects and targeted empowerment initiatives across religious and traditional bodies within the federal constituency.

A Visionary Leader Deeply Rooted in Service

Hon. Abiodun Oni is no stranger to visionary leadership and high-level execution. An accomplished corporate technocrat, former public administrator, and astute resource manager, his antecedent is marked by unblemished competence and a passion for societal transformation.

As the people of Igboho celebrate this timely infrastructural gift, local stakeholders have called on other political actors to emulate Hon. Oni's style of politics—one driven by tangible solutions to community needs.

The leadership and members of Ifelodun Omo Igboho have extended their warmest appreciation to Hon. Abiodun Oni for the unexpected yet impactful project, wishing him resounding success in his noble political aspirations to represent the Old Irepo federal constituency.

The exercise, carried out on Saturday, August 29, 2026, included the display of candidates’ particulars on Form EC9, giving political parties, candidates, journalists and members of the public an opportunity to scrutinise the information submitted to the electoral commission. For Oyo State, the development is particularly significant. Reports based on the latest INEC display indicate that 16 candidates are in the 2027 governorship race, representing different political parties. But there is an important lesson for voters: a name announced by a political party is not automatically the same thing as the name finally displayed by INEC. That distinction has become critical in...
