Orire Rescue: Egbe Ajosepo Fun Itesiwaju Gbogbo Wa Commends Tinubu, Makinde, and Security Chiefs; Mourns Fallen Victims

OGBOMOSO — Following the successful rescue of the abducted pupils and teachers of Orire Local Government Area, the Egbe Ajosepo Fun Itesiwaju Gbogbo Wa (Association for Our Collective Progress) has issued a formal statement commending the federal and state governments, as well as the joint security forces, for their decisive intervention. 

In a press release signed by the Chairman of the Association Engr. Dauda Olaifa Alade, the group expressed relief at the safe return of the captives, while also offering deep condolences to the families of those who tragically lost their lives during the harrowing ordeal.

Egbe Ajosepo Fun Itesiwaju Gbogbo Wa Congratulates President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Governor Seyi Makinde, and Security Agencies on the Safe Rescue of Orire School Pupils and Teachers; Mourns Victims of the Abduction

The leadership and entire membership of Egbe Ajosepo Fun Itesiwaju Gbogbo Wa hereby express our profound gratitude and immense relief over the successful rescue and safe return of the innocent school children and their teachers who were abducted in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State. 

This rescue operation stands as a testament to what can be achieved when political will aligns with operational bravery. In light of this, the Association formally extends its highest commendation to the following leaders and institutions:

His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR: For providing the decisive national leadership and enabling the security architecture necessary to execute this rescue mission without compromise.

His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde: For his proactive stance, unwavering commitment to the security of Oyo State, and for mobilizing all available local and state apparatus to ensure the victims were not abandoned.

 Security and Defense Architecture: We deeply appreciate the Minister of Defence, the Inspector General of Police, the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigerian Army, and all other military and paramilitary outfits. Your gallant officers braved the forests, risked their lives, and demonstrated ultimate patriotism to bring our children and teachers home. 

To the Families of the Rescued: We rejoice with you. We understand the agonizing trauma, the sleepless nights, and the countless prayers you have offered over the past weeks. Seeing your loved ones returned safely to your embrace is a victory for us all. 

A Moment of Solemn Mourning:

However, our joy is tempered with deep sorrow. The Egbe Ajosepo Fun Itesiwaju Gbogbo Wa extends its most heartfelt condolences to the families who tragically lost their loved ones during this kidnapping incident. We mourn with you in this dark hour. The supreme price paid by your loved ones will never be forgotten, and we pray that Almighty God grants you the divine fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, and grants the departed eternal rest.

The Way Forward:

While we celebrate this tactical victory, we urge the federal and state governments not to rest on their oars. The safety of our schools, our rural communities, and our highways must be permanently guaranteed. We call for the deployment of advanced intelligence gathering, continuous surveillance, and the strengthening of community policing to ensure that such a nightmare is never again visited upon our people.

May peace, security, and progress remain the portion of Oyo State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
