There comes a time in the life of a people when silence ceases to be wisdom and becomes a tragic betrayal of posterities yet unborn. For decades, the good, brave, and industrious people of Okè-Òògùn have played the loyal deputy, the reliable kingmaker, the sacrificial lamb, and the patient spectator in the political destiny of Oyo State. 

We have watched power rotate, political promises evaporate into thin air, and our vast, fertile region remain under-resourced despite being the food basket and the territorial backbone of our state. 

Today, a quiet, dangerous fatigue threatens to settle over our collective resolve. The tempo of our agitation seems to be calming down, and our voices are growing faint. But I write to you today—sons and daughters of Okè-Òògùn, both at home and across the global diaspora—to deliver an urgent message: We must not let our spirits grow weary. We must not surrender our dream to political apathy.

The clamour for "Okè-Òògùn Ló Kàn" is not a mere political slogan; it is an overdue moral obligation. It is time to turn our whispers into a roar that will resound across Ibadan, Ibarapa, Oyo, and Ogbomoso!

The Power of the Math: How 500,000 Votes Can Rewrite History

For years, political strategists in distant halls have sold us the lie that Okè-Òògùn cannot produce a governor because we are "divided" or "politically disadvantaged." They want us to believe we need permission to lead. 

Let us destroy that lie with simple, undeniable arithmetic.

Okè-Òògùn is made up of 10 vibrant, densely populated Local Government Areas: Atisbo, Saki East, Saki West, Irepo, Oorelope, Olorunsogo, Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Iwajowa, and Kajola.

If every single Local Government Area in Okè-Òògùn unites around a common vision and delivers a baseline of just 50,000 disciplined, organized votes on election day, Okè-Òògùn automatically commands a rock-solid, impenetrable block of 500,000 VOTES!

Read that number again: 500,000 VOTES.

In the history of Oyo State politics, no candidate who secures a unified block of 500,000 votes from a single region loses an election. With 500,000 votes, Okè-Òògùn does not need to beg for political crumbs; we become the undeniable decision-makers of Oyo State! 

The governorship is not given; it is taken by the sheer force of organized numbers. We have the land, we have the people, we have the intellect, and above all, we have the votes!

A Call to the Diaspora and the Grassroots

To our brothers and sisters in the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, and across the length and breadth of the Nigerian nation: your homeland is calling you. It is not enough to send monthly stipends back home while our region remains politically marginalized. Your financial power, your social capital, your intellectual depth, and your influence over your families back home must now be mobilized for the Okè-Òògùn Lokan project.

To our youth, our traditional rulers, our farmers, our market women, our religious leaders, and our community associations in every corner of our 10 LGAs: the time to work the talk is NOW.

 We must register to vote.

We must collect our Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

 We must bury minor sub-regional divisions between upper and lower Okè-Òògùn.

We must organize at the ward level, street by street, village by village.

Yes, We Can!

Let history record that when the defining moment arrived, the sons and daughters of Okè-Òògùn did not fold their arms in resignation. Let it be said that we stood shoulder-to-shoulder, bounded by common blood and shared destiny, to reclaim our rightful place in the sun.

No nation or region changes its story through self-pity. Transformation requires courage, unity, and ruthless political focus.

One unified Okè-Òògùn candidate. 

One glorious victory.

Rise up, Okè-Òògùn! Shake off the slumber! The hour has come, the stage is set, and the destiny of our region rests firmly in our hands.
