Today in Ibadan, the Federation of Muslim Women's Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) marked its milestone 40th anniversary. Amidst the grand celebrations and reflections on four decades of community development, a dependable leader and true son of Igboho, Alhaji Sarafadeen Alani Yusuff—popularly known as AL WAJUD—was honored with a prestigious Award of Recognition.

The award, presented during the well-attended anniversary gathering, serves as a testament to his unwavering dedication to community service, religious harmony, and human capacity development across the state.

A Grassroots Mobilizer and Dependable Leader

Currently serving as the Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on the Irepo/Olorunsogo/Oorelope Federal Constituency, Alhaji Yusuff has continuously proven himself to be a vibrant grassroots politician. He is widely regarded by his constituents as a leader who remains deeply connected to his roots.

Unlike many who lose touch with their base upon assuming political office, Al Wajud has maintained a consistent presence among his people. His unique background as a successful businessman turned politician has equipped him with a pragmatic approach to governance and empowerment. He understands the economic realities of the grassroots and applies his business acumen to his political strategies, ensuring that his constituents receive practical and impactful representation.

A True Son of Igboho

For the people of Igboho and the broader Irepo/Olorunsogo/Oorelope Federal Constituency, this recognition by a highly respected national body like FOMWAN is a collective victory. It validates the trust they have placed in him as their representative in Governor Makinde’s administration.

As family, friends, and political associates turned up today to celebrate this milestone, the message was clear: Alhaji Sarafadeen Alani Yusuff remains a dependable pillar of support for his community. Ayekooto Media joins the good people of Oyo State in congratulating Al Wajud on this well-deserved honor, looking forward to his continued service to the people.
