Federal Might: Tinubu Appoints Three Oyo Indigenes into Surveyors Council of Nigeria

In a major development validating the professional capacity of Oyo State indigenes on the national stage, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the strategic appointment of three prominent sons of the Pacesetter State into the Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON).


Leading the high-profile appointments is Surv. Moshood Akinwande, a highly respected professional from Oyo town, who has been named the substantive President of the Council. 


Joining him on the federal board to steer the affairs of the regulatory body are Surv. Olusoji Adeoye, the current Surveyor-General of Oyo State, and Surv. Olaribigbe Shiyanbola, an illustrious son of Ipapo in Itesiwaju Local Government Area. 


Political analysts across the state have described this triple appointment as a significant win for Oyo State's geopolitical leverage within the current federal administration. By placing seasoned professionals into crucial regulatory roles, the federal government is tapping into the rich reservoir of administrative expertise that Oyo State is historically known for. This development is expected to foster a more synchronized partnership between federal land administration policies and local surveying frameworks in the Southwest.
